Abigail Duvall
Abigail is a native of upstate New York, nestled at the foothills of the Adirondacks. Since her early days, she and her family have immersed themselves in the wonders of the Adirondacks, embarking on hiking, biking, skiing, and boating adventures. In recent years, her pursuits have shifted, balancing her time between guiding rafting trips through the Hudson River gorge in the summers, and rock climbing in the renowned Gunks during the school year. She has a degree in outdoor education and is currently pursuing her interest in art at SUNY New Paltz. Her heart craves adventure and the outdoors, and she loves to share her passion with others.
Luke Ely
Luke hails from New York where he guided through the lush forests and rugged peaks of the Adirondak Mountains. He fell in love with outdoor adventure—the thrill of whitewater rafting, climbing, and hiking—while pursuing his degree in outdoor education. Since 2018 he’s been sharing that passion, guiding challenging hiking routes and rapid-filled rivers and looks forward to adventures together with you. Even when he’s not guiding, you’ll find him paddling, exploring the mountains, or building ice castles.
Alisa Leddy

Please plan to arrive the day prior to Day 1 of the itinerary in Bozeman, MT (airport code BZN). Your MT Sobek guides will pick you up on Day 1 at either of our recommended pre-trip hotels. How should I train for my Yellowstone National Park adventure?
The best training is hiking. Work up to hiking similar distances with your daypack loaded with the same weight and items you will be carrying on our day hikes. Is there wildlife in the high desert and canyons?
Yes! Yellowstone's abundant and diverse wildlife are as famous as its geysers. There are nearly 300 species of birds, 16 species of fish, five species of amphibians, six species of reptiles, and 67 species of mammals-including seven native ungulate species and two bear species. Habitat preferences and seasonal cycles of movement determine, in a general sense, where a particular animal may be at a particular time. Early morning and evening hours are when animals tend to be feeding and are more easily seen. But remember that the numbers and variety of animals you see are largely a matter of luck and coincidence. Wild animals, especially females with young, are unpredictable and dangerous. Keep a safe distance from all wildlife. Each year a number of park visitors are injured by wildlife when approaching too closely. When is the best time to go on this trip?
Wildlife can be viewed year-round at Yellowstone, though the seasons will impact what species you see. Spring is the best months to view bears, while the winter months are best for wolves and bighorn sheep (see our winter trip). Elk, moose, bison, and mountain goats can be spotted during the summer months, which is also the park's busiest season. Early Fall, on the other hand, is a great time to see bear, elk, and raptors - while enjoying more mild weather.Who is this trip perfect for?

Yellowstone National Park offers a wide range of trails for hikers of all skill levels, making it the perfect destination for adventurers seeking a challenge or those just looking for a peaceful hike. What is the minimum age for this trip?
