Tropical Storm Ida is now heading for the U.S. Gulf Coast, with winds around 70 mph at press time. The storm is causing lots of disruptions for cruise lines in the region, including delays and itinerary changes for the inaugural sailings of the “Carnival Fantasy” and the “Carnival Triumph” from their new homeports of Mobile and New Orleans respectively. See this CruiseCritic.com update for a summary of what’s changing, including refund policies for these altered sailings. (Note: CruiseCritic.com also posted this interesting story about what happens when bad weather affects your clients’ private shore excursions.)
